POSITION SUMMARY
IT Manager will provide excellent business answers to technology questions for our clients.
Manager is responsible for supporting clients all over the world both remotely and, when necessary, in person with their managed IT services, on-premises servers and networks, Microsoft Office 365, strategic planning, HIPAA audits and a wide range of decision support systems. IT Manager will supervise operations, staff; researching and the implementing of technological strategic solutions. . Duties also include Service Manager responsibilities, Virtual CIO for qualifying clients, Subject Matter Expert, including reviewing and recommending the tools and services Company uses and resells, as well as being the main point of contact for vender management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Meeting with the client before beginning the project to learn exactly what she wants in terms of services and results
Devise a strategy to address client needs
Setting up the technological infrastructure
Works closely with the client’s technology staff to ensure it understands how to maintain the technology
Planning timescales and the resources needed;
Clarifying a client’s system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business
Travelling to customer sites
Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization
Defining software, hardware and network requirements
Deliver training presentations to the staff so it understands how to get the full benefit of the technological tools.
Designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems
Produce periodic reports to the client detailing implementation processes.
Reviews the technology and provides recommendations for system improvements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Ideally certification or experience in field of specialization Security, data management, infrastructure, VoIP, RDS, Azure and cloud management, Microsoft 365, risk management, storage and backup
A degree in related fields include computer science, software engineering, operational research, business studies, engineering or mathematics is preferred.
Previous work experience and a genuine interest in MSP’s, IT and consulting
KEY SKILLS
Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Expertise in data center management and data governance
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
Ability to manage personnel
Project Management experience
Meticulous approach to work
Capable of meeting high standards
Good problem-solving skills
Interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with clients
Must be excellent at extracting information from people and explaining technical information to non-technical Clients
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. Travel: can feature within the working day. Periods working away from home are sometimes required. 40 hours per week, shifts or hours may vary depending on client needs.

COMPENSATION
$70-$80K depending on experience
