POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior IT Consultant will be a leader on a technical team and work solo in the field. They will provide excellent business answers to technology questions for our clients, while providing world class customer service, and will mentor other consultants to do the same.
Consultant’s primary responsibility is to support clients all over the world both remotely and, when necessary, in person with their managed IT services, on-premises servers and networks, Microsoft Office 365, strategic planning, HIPAA audits and a wide range of decision support systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mentor and guide other technicians in a positive supportive team environment
Meeting with the client before beginning the project to learn exactly what she wants in terms of services and results
Devise a strategy to address client needs
Setting up the technological infrastructure
Works closely with the client’s technology staff to ensure it understands how to maintain the technology
Planning timescales and the resources needed;
Clarifying a client’s system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business
Travelling to customer sites
Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organization
Defining software, hardware and network requirements
Deliver training presentations to the staff so it understands how to get the full benefit of the technological tools.
Designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems
Produce periodic reports to the client detailing implementation processes.
Reviews the technology and conducts research to provide recommendations for system improvements.
Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues and situations
Produce detailed documentation for customers and the team
Typical IT projects will require the following tasks:

– repairing computer problems and removing viruses

– answering feedback
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Ideally certification or experience in field of specialization include Wi-Fi and Network security, data management, infrastructure, mobile technology, risk management, storage and backup
A degree in related fields include computer science, software engineering, operational research, business studies, engineering or mathematics helpful but not required.
Previous work experience and a genuine interest in IT and consulting

WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. Travel: can feature within the working day. Periods working away from home are sometimes required. 40 hours per week, shifts or hours may vary depending on client needs.

Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoor work from home office setting: air conditioned, moderate noise level. Some travel off-site to client or merchant locations.
COMPENSATION
$50-$60K depending on experience
